We conduct studies of spacecraft-space plasma interactions and space plasma physics that include theory, space and laboratory experiments, data analysis, and computer modeling. Possible research topics include momentum coupling in magnetized plasmas; critical velocity ionization phenomenon; ionization and discharge processes; neutral and ionized gas interactions with ambient medium, high-voltage systems; and natural and induced spacecraft charging. We maintain facilities for computing and scientific visualization, supercomputer access, and multiple vacuum chambers with space plasma simulation capability.
