Opportunities exist to study the cause and effects of transient features in the solar atmosphere, including evolving active regions, chromospheric events such as flares and filament eruptions, and coronal transients such as coronal mass ejections. Investigations would use data from NOAA satellites or other research spacecraft, data available to the Center through cooperation with ground-based observatories, or brought into the Center by the Associate. We are particularly interested in studies seeking new observational techniques, models, or data analysis methods that assist in predicting the onset, duration, and/or severity of geoeffective solar-induced phenomena.

$2000 Location Supplement for Boulder, CO.
Postdoctoral and Senior Associates will receive an appropriately higher stipend based on the number of years of experience past their PhD.
