Description

The Sediment Dynamics Section of NRL's Ocean Sciences Division performs basic and applied research leading to advanced technology development, demonstration, and validation efforts focusing on the physical, mechanical, and acoustical properties of seafloor, estuarine, riverine, and subaerial sediments. The research opportunity centers on observing and modeling aeolian sediment transport using detailed laboratory and state-of-the-art field measurements. We seek qualified applicants with experience conducting laboratory and field experiments, performing time series and frequency analysis, and resolving subaerial near surface boundary layer processes.
