Description

The candidate is expected to design, construct, and implement devices for measuring turbulent pressure-velocity fields at centimeter scales adjacent to rigid boundaries in a water tank. This work will require the deployment and operation of particle image velocimetry (PIV) equipment for the analysis of turbulent boundary-layer flows, including data acquisition and processing. These efforts will support the validation of turbulent-flow theory.
