Description

Additive manufacturing (AM) of energetics, metals and ceramics offers unique possibilities in terms of geometry and design, which can yield unique capabilities and enhanced performance in many applications.

The goal of our research is to develop and utilize AM technologies and materials to prototype and manufacture energetics components, metallic structures and ceramics for marine and aerospace applications. A successful candidate will possess a multidisciplinary background in Materials Science/Engineering, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, and other relevant Science & Engineering fields with a strong publication record. Candidates with experience in AM equipment and materials characterization are preferred.

Stipend

Base Stipend Travel Allotment Supplementation
$67,000.00 $3,000.00

Experience Supplement:
Postdoctoral and Senior Associates will receive an appropriately higher stipend based on the number of years of experience past their PhD.
