Theoretical/Computational/Observational Research in Dynamic Meteorology, Geophysical Fluid Dynamics, Hurricanes, and Tornadoes
Naval Postgraduate School, Earth and Atmospheric Science
We conduct frontier research in dynamic meteorology, geophysical fluid dynamics, hurricane and tornado dynamics, and other severe weather phenomena using theoretical, computational, observational, and experimental techniques. Applicants with serious interests in the fluid dynamics and thermodynamics of tropical cyclones (hurricanes/typhoons), explosive cyclogenesis, polar lows, fronts, mesoscale convective vortices, tornadoes, geophysical turbulence, cyclone/anticyclone asymmetry, and balance dynamics are encouraged to apply.
