Description

The effective use of high-performance computing (HPC) resources, from large CPU clusters to Leadership-Class Computing Facilities (LCCF), is key to accelerating scientific advances in many fields. This includes many of the research areas of interest to NIST such as computational material science, electromagnetics, biology, quantum information science, and others. For this research opportunity we are looking for a Computer Scientist to focus on the development and use of a parallel and distributed scientific Leadership-Class HPC application. This includes research and development in all aspects of HPC such as scalable parallel algorithms, distributed algorithms, and parallel I/O, with results post-processed for input to available analysis and visualization software, all designed to run efficiently on emerging exascale LCCF resources.
