Description
Biofuels and bio-derived products are of interest to a variety of companies as they seek to develop more renewable and environmentally friendly manufacturing options. Whether a product is derived from a lignocellulosic feedstock, algae-based or the result of a pyrolysis conversion of a feedstock, effective process development is a necessary step towards achieving a product useful to industry. Process designers rely on good thermophysical property data to design effective manufacturing systems. Proposals are sought from researchers who have an interest in improving separations and distillations through the measurement of property data or improved modeling of thermophysical property data. Proposals could be written to improve data and models for a specific chemical set related to bio-derived products, develop an instrument for improved property measurements, or focus on an improved model or correlation.
