Description

This project aims to leverage sample preparation methods, state-of-the-art instrumentation, and custom software algorithms to improve methods for peptide identification from raw mass spectral data.  The use of orthogonal information such as multi-enzyme digestions, to verify the presence of a peptide using different proteases, and ion mobility adds layers of confidence to a given identification.  Individuals with a background in mass spectrometry or software development are encouraged to apply.

key words
mass spectrometry; liquid chromatography; mass spectral library; proteomics; peptide identification
