The Measurement Science of Clinical Proteomics
Material Measurement Laboratory, Biomolecular Measurement Division
NIST only participates in the February and August reviews.
With the expansion of proteomic research into clinical chemistry, there is an important need to understand the sources of variability and bias in clinical proteomic measurements in order to improve measurement quality. Research in this area focuses on the measurement science that underpins clinical proteomic measurements, such as chromatographic separations of proteins and identification and quantification of proteins using mass spectrometry. We encourage research aimed at improving existing proteomic measurement methods and developing new measurement approaches.
