Description

This is an opportunity to participate in developing models for semiconductor electronic, opto-electronic and photonic devices. Materials studied range from wide to low bandgap semiconductors, two-dimensional layered materials, and topological insulators. Opto-electronic properties include point defects and doping in semiconductors, bandgap engineering, quasi-2D materials, electron-phonon coupling, and topological states in resonator arrays. Structural properties addressed include elastic, vibrational, and phase stability properties of binary semiconductors and alloys. The modeling leverages the High Performance Computing facilities of the Department of Defense.
