Description

This research opportunity involves working in the AFRL Plasma Physics Laboratory with Government R&D Scientists and Engineers to develop physics-based models for generation of 3D coherent and random density irregularities with long-range spatial correlation properties. Research objectives in the Plasma Physics Laboratory include (1) the development and optimization of a 3D computer code for analysis of propagation and scattering of communication signals in a plasma with coherent vortex structures and random density irregularities, and (2) application of parallelization techniques to increase performance.
