Description

The Chemical Sciences Division seeks the development of analytical methodologies, from both instrumentation and informatics standpoints, for the multifaceted and convoluted data that are obtained from complex biological, chemical, and forensic samples. We are seeking applicants interested in one or more of the following: developing instrumentation and sample preparation platforms, methods and applications development, utilizing multivariate data analysis methods to mine new or existing data sets. A variety of chemical metrology and chemoinformatic resources and expertise are available to develop, challenge, refine, and validate new concepts. Available analytical instrumentation includes, but is not limited to, a variety of hyphenated GC and LC instrumentation (e.g., LC/DAD-MS, GC-GC/TOFMS, GC-MS/MS, LC-LC/MS-MS), FTIR, FT-Raman, Raman microscope, 600 MHz NMR, dispersive UV-Vis-NIR, Fluorescence.
