Description
This work involves the interpretaion of Doppler and polarimetric signatures in clouds and precipitation at S, C, and X bands using cloud models with spectral bin microphysics. We investigate microphysical aspects of precipitation formation using cloud modeling and polarimetric radar measurements. Research focuses on the development of more sophisticated methods for radar precipitation estimation and hydrometeor classification based on explicit microphysical modeling.
