Recent advances in imaging and analysis of structural, functional, and effective connectivity patterns in brain networks provide new information about normal and/or pathological brain activity. Computational neural modeling can aid in validation and better interpretation of these new experimental results. This research opportunity may involve implementation of biophysically realistic networks of a large number of neurons on high-performance supercomputers. Applicants should have a strong computational and/or mathematical background and interest in computational neuroscience.
