Description

MEMS/NEMS-based instruments enable fundamental measurements and standards, and new types of devices related to magnetism. Areas of interest include (1) magnetomechanical coupling to quantum states of mater; (2) nanoscale FMR, ESR, and NMR; (3) spin-precession B-field magnetometers; and (4) magnetic measurements of MEMS/NEMS materials and devices that will lead to better device characteristics at the nanoscale. We are interested in all aspects of research including new physics related to magnetic MEMS/NEMS devices, as well as the engineering challenges associated with the development, integration, and testing of novel MEMS/NEMS structures.
