Research opportunities exist in dynamic data assimilation related to meteorology and atmospheric chemistry. Applicants should have strength in applied mathematics including linear algebra and optimization theory. PhD in applied math preferred but a degree in basic or applied science with emphasis on numerical methods and computer science is also acceptable. Problems of interest include data assimilation for air quality forecasting and weather phenomena such as return flow over the Gulf of Mexico and sea fog along the California coast.

$24,000 Supplement for Doctorates in Electrical Engineering
Postdoctoral and Senior Associates will receive an appropriately higher stipend based on the
number of years of experience past their PhD.
