The objectives of this project are to use systems analysis techniques together with mathematical models of physical processes to analyze or improve hydrologic forecasting. Examples of this work include (1) analysis of hydrometeorological data networks, (2) application of geographic information systems, (3) evaluation of benefits of hydrologic forecasting, (4) analysis of orographic precipitation processes, (5) investigation of hydrologic aspects of climate and climatic change, and (6) development of new hydrologic process models.
