Description

Polymer matrix composites offer advantages to aerospace systems because of their low weight and tailorable properties. Our team is interested in advancing the state-of-the-art of these materials by increasing their processability, improving their functionality, and finding new applications for their use. Our focus areas include processing modeling, additive manufacturing, increased service temperature capabilities, durability, and multifunctional applications. We are interested in developing competencies in synthesis and new material development, advanced characterization and data analytics, predictive modeling and design, and advanced processing and manufacturing techniques. Our work spans basic and applied research areas.
