Description

We are looking for a qualified Associate to support a broad range of optical materials research activities ongoing within the Photonic Materials Branch at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate. Qualified candidates should have demonstrated technical skills in the area of optical theory and design. Successful candidates will join a vibrant and active research enterprise heavily focused on optical material development and maturation affording extensive opportunities for collaborative research and theory-led experimentation. Working as a NRC Associate at AFRL is a unique opportunity to solve important, long term challenges that guide research efforts in an environment that strongly encourages collaboration (government/academic/industry), publication in top journals, and conference attendance. The Associate will work within the Structured Optical Materials and Processes Research Team.
