To reach our objectives, we are developing state-of-the-art real-time predictive models and decision-support algorithms. Based on online real-time physiologic data from sensors embedded in the soldier’s uniform, predictive models and algorithms will be employed to infer the current and future physiologic status of the soldier, and in case of a wounding event, to forecast the need for immediate soldier evacuation and life-savings medical interventions. We are looking for candidates to join our Bioinformatics and Medical Informatics Group to perform signal processing research, analysis of time-series physiologic data, such as time domain and frequency analyses of interbeat cardiac frequency, and assist in the development of predictive algorithms. Prospective applicants should have exceptional analytical skills, proficiency in wavelets analsyis and neural network computation, and working knowledge of scientific programing languages, including Matlab.
