To reach our objectives, we are developing a state-of-the-art Web-enabled data base system to store, manage, and analyze large amounts of continuous measurements of physilogic data from human subjects, such as EKG, blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature, from which knowledge can be extracted to determine key predictive variables that affect clinical outcome and life-saving medical interventions. Prospective applicants should have a strong background in client/server data base technologies, particularly in the design of systems involving large amounts of time-series data, data mining, and Web technology.
